📚 Old World Overview

Old World is a historical strategy game where players rule an ancient empire across multiple generations, competing against rival kings and queens. The game was designed by Soren Johnson, who was also the lead designer of Civilization IV. Players build their dynasty over many ruler lifetimes, and when a ruler dies, the next heir continues the campaign. The player’s goal is to leave behind a lasting legacy before their ruler grows old and passes away.

The game has seven playable kingdoms, and each one has four noble families who provide various benefits when assigned to run cities. Players must manage marriages, family events, and courtly relationships to keep these families satisfied. If a noble family becomes too powerful or too unhappy, they may turn against the ruler. Characters in the court develop new personality traits over time, gain experience through events, and eventually fall ill and die, leaving the next generation to take their place.

Orders are a shared resource used to move units across the map. Instead of every unit getting one move per turn, players spend Orders to move units multiple times until the Orders run out or a unit becomes too tired. Buildings in the game require wood and stone as construction materials, rather than abstract industry points. The technology tree is randomised at the start of every playthrough, so the order in which technologies become available is not the same from one game to the next.

Old World includes over 3,000 unique events inspired by real history and mythology. Contact with foreign leaders triggers event chains, courtroom drama, and political storylines. Players can also pursue specific ambitions related to conquest, development, or faith. The game has historically inspired scenarios, including one where the player leads Carthage as Hannibal during the Punic Wars, and another that tasks players with holding off Barbarian Hordes.

Multiplayer in Old World supports hotseat, asynchronous, and cloud play modes, and the game also supports cross-platform multiplayer. The game has a free demo on Steam and uses Steam Workshop, which allows players to install mods that add new empires, maps, and dynasties. The Complete Bundle includes the base game along with seven DLC packs: Heroes of the Aegean, The Sacred and The Profane, Pharaohs of the Nile, Wonders and Dynasties, Behind the Throne, Wrath of Gods, and Empires of the Indus.

⚙️ Installation Instructions

We have simple instructions for downloading and installing the Old World torrent game on your Windows operating system. The procedure is the same for all Windows operating systems. Before proceeding, ensure that your system meets the minimum system requirements to play the Game.

You must have zip file extracting software and torrent software installed on your PC. If you do not have these two software programs installed on your PC, then you will first need to download and install the two software programs on your PC before following the steps.

You can use any zip file extracting software and torrent software, (We recommend "WinRAR" and "qBittorrent" Software). WinRAR / 7-Zip / µTorrent Classic / qBittorrent (64-bit) / qBittorrent (32-bit).

Follow the simple instructions:

1. First, click on the "Torrent Download" button, and Download the "Old-World.zip" file on your PC.
2. Right-click on the "Old-World.zip" file and click on the "extract here" option from the dropdown menu.
3. Double click on the "Old-World.torrent" file. Then, choose the download folder.
4. After Download Completed, Open the Game folder.
5. Double-click on the Setup.exe file.
6. You may need to provide administrator permissions for the installation to proceed. If asked, click Yes to continue.
7. Follow the on-screen installation wizard to install the game on your PC.

If you get any missing dll errors or the game is not launching, then Download Redist File and install all programs available in the "Redist" folder.
