📚 Haunted House Overview

Haunted House is a single-player action-adventure game and a reimagining of the classic Atari game of the same name. Players take control of Lyn Graves, the niece of legendary treasure hunter Zachary Graves. Lyn visits her uncle’s mansion with her friends, only to find it taken over by ghouls and monsters. The monsters quickly grab and carry away her friends. Lyn must now find the shattered pieces of a magical urn and put them back together to free her uncle and her friends.

The game uses 3D isometric stealth gameplay. The rooms in the mansion are procedurally generated, so the layout, enemy placements, and ghostly encounters are all unpredictable. When Lyn gets knocked out by a specter, she returns to the entrance and faces an entirely new floor layout. Combat is kept light in this game. Players must focus on sneaking and moving unseen in the shadows. Lyn can use traps and items to distract the ghouls chasing her. She collects gems to power up her skills and perks for the next run.

As Lyn explores the mansion, she frees her trapped friends. These friends then become playable characters. Every friend has different stats, so the gameplay changes depending on who the player selects. The game also has collectibles and lore based on the original Haunted House and other classic Atari games, serving as Easter eggs for longtime fans. The whimsical cartoon visual style balances goofy and spooky tones, making it suitable for all age groups.

Haunted House supports Steam Trading Cards and Steam Cloud. It includes 25 achievements for players to unlock. The game is available in four languages: English, German, Spanish, and Portuguese (Brazil).

⚙️ Installation Instructions

If you get any missing dll errors or the game is not launching, then Download Redist File and install all programs available in the "Redist" folder.
