Tank Mechanic Simulator is a single-player simulation game where players take the role of a tank mechanic who repairs and restores World War II era tanks. The game includes 21 vehicles in total, with 15 tanks, 4 armored vehicles, and 2 self-propelled guns from German, American, and Soviet forces. Some well-known tanks in the game are the Tiger, Sherman, T-34, Panther, and Maus.

Players can find abandoned and buried tanks from old battlefields. To locate a tank underground, players use tools like a metal detector, ground penetrating radar, a drone, and a shovel. Once the site is found, players call an excavation team, pump out mud from the tank, clean it up, and then load it onto a truck trailer to bring it back to the workshop.

Back at the workshop, the full renovation process begins. Players remove mud, rust, and dirt from the tank. They then sandblast the surface, apply primer, and finish with a final coat of paint. The game also has a paint room where players can add custom colors, camouflage, and decals. On the inside, players can repair hatches, ammo holders, drive controls, and gearbox parts. The engine can be taken out and placed on a special stand for detailed repair work.

Each tank has over 200 parts, and players use tools like a hammer, grinder, wrench, and sandblaster for the work. After renovation, players can test the tank on a training ground, drive it around, or take it to a shooting range. Finished tanks can be sold or kept in a personal museum.
