HUMANKIND: Digital Deluxe Edition is a historical strategy game where you guide a civilization from the Ancient Era to the Modern Era. You begin with a small group of people and slowly expand into new regions by building cities and claiming land. As time moves forward, you select new cultures from several historical periods. This allows your civilization to develop with new strengths while continuing the same campaign from beginning to end. Success depends on careful planning, resource use, and long term thinking.

Cities produce food, industry, money, and science that help your civilization become stronger over time. You can build farms, districts, monuments, and military units while researching new technologies. Rivers, mountains, forests, and other natural features influence where cities should be placed. Trade with other civilizations, sign agreements, or fight wars when conflicts begin. Armies move across the map, capture important locations, and defend your territory from enemy attacks.
