📚 Yao-Guai Hunter Overview

Yao-Guai Hunter is an action game set in a hand-painted version of ancient China. The visuals look like a living scroll, inspired by Chinese folklore. Players fight monsters and demons that come from old myths and legends. The game puts you in the role of a lone Yao Hunter trying to restore balance.

There are three playable characters, and each one fights in a completely different way. Mo San is a warrior from the Yao-Slaying Bureau. He carries a cursed blade that grows hungrier with every kill. The more he uses it, the more it threatens to consume him.

Chuan is a Taoist who uses a bamboo-fire sword and a bag of homemade weapons. His bullets carry talismanic magic, making them spiritually powerful. His invention called the “Bamboo Bombard” turns spiritual alchemy into explosive attacks. He looks weak but hits hard with his blessed tools.

A-Zi comes from the southern Miao tribes. She is a prodigy witch who uses poison and insects as weapons. Her venomous creatures follow her commands in battle. She also casts ancient hexes that have been passed down through her bloodline for generations.

The game blends blade combat with spell casting. Players can cleanse a land where ancient demons have awakened and forgotten myths have taken physical shape. The story reacts to how players fight and what they do. Every battle and every move shapes the legend of the hunter. The game promises that no two playthroughs will feel exactly the same because of how the characters and their powers interact with the enemies they face.
