📚 The Persistence Overview

The Persistence challenges players to survive as a clone of security officer Zimri Eder on a doomed deep space colony starship. The ship is overrun with horrific and murderous aberrations, and players must restore its functionality to make their way back to Earth. The Persistence Enhanced version improves lighting and particle effects, and includes DXR RayTracing for supported graphics cards and NVIDIA® DLSS. However, VR owners should note that motion controls are not supported.

The game features a unique mechanic where the ship’s macrostructure malfunctions, causing the layout of the decks to shift and change configuration periodically. This means that every expedition into The Persistence is disorienting and unpredictable. Players must navigate this ever-changing labyrinth, using darkness and cover to avoid being overwhelmed by the ship’s deadly new inhabitants.

In The Persistence, players can harvest DNA material to improve health, toughness, and defensive capabilities. They can also loot materials and schematics for weapon upgrades and suit customizations with perks. Death is not the end for Zimri; if she dies, her consciousness is uploaded into a new cloned body. This allows players to try again, retaining any upgraded stats, suits, and weapon schematics for their next attempt.

The game also offers an asymmetric multiplayer feature. By connecting a phone or tablet running IOS or Android, up to two players can take control of ‘Solex’ – the ship’s engineering system. This allows for a cooperative experience, adding another layer of strategy to the gameplay.

⚙️ Installation Instructions
