Supraland: Six Inches Under is a First-Person-Metroidvania game that offers a unique experience without requiring players to have played previous Supraland titles. The game is set in a gated environment where gathering abilities allows players to access new areas. The gameplay is composed of approximately 55% exploration, 40% puzzle-solving, and 5% combat, making for an adventure that lasts between 8 to 20 hours.

The game does not include any skill trees, which is a departure from many modern games. Players will encounter hundreds of gags, with two specifically highlighted as funny. Compared to the original Supraland, half of the player abilities are new, while the other half remain the same. The main path puzzles are simpler, with more challenging puzzles available as optional content.

Combat in Supraland: Six Inches Under is reduced compared to its predecessor, featuring entirely new enemy types. The game includes more optional content, much of which becomes accessible after the credits roll. Unlike the first Supraland, which used licensed music, almost all of the music in this game is tailor-made, contributing to its distinct identity.

The game’s development began as a side project to help new team members familiarize themselves with the tools and workflow. The credits appear a few hours earlier than in the first game, but there is significantly more endgame content available for players to explore.
