📚 SLEEP AWAKE Overview

SLEEP AWAKE is a first-person horror game where you play as a character named Katja. The story takes place in the last known city on Earth. People in this city are disappearing when they fall asleep. This strange event is called The HUSH. Nobody knows exactly what causes it.

Because of The HUSH, the people left alive are desperately trying to stay awake. Some have turned to dangerous experiments to stop themselves from sleeping. These experiments have gone too far, and groups of people have formed violent death cults. Katja must survive attacks from these cult members while also trying to keep herself awake.

The game was led by Cory Davis, who previously worked on Spec Ops: The Line. Robin Finck from Nine Inch Nails also helped create the game. Their combined backgrounds in storytelling and music shaped how the game looks and sounds. The result is something that stands apart from typical horror games.

SLEEP AWAKE uses hand-crafted environments with a strong and unusual color palette. The game also includes FMV, which means real video footage is mixed into the gameplay. Light bending effects are used to make the visuals feel strange and disorienting. These design choices push the game into cosmic horror territory.

Puzzles are a key part of the experience. Katja must solve them to uncover the secrets of this strange and broken city. The puzzles connect to the darker events of the past. Solving them is how the player moves forward and understands what really happened. The game treats its mystery seriously rather than leaving things unexplained.

⚙️ Installation Instructions
