📚 SiN: Gold Overview

SiN: Gold places you in the role of Colonel John R. Blade, the head of a private protection agency in Freeport. You are tasked with stopping Elexis Sinclaire, the CEO of SinTEK Industries, who is injecting the streets with a DNA-altering drug. She plans to take over with an army of genetically-engineered mutants, challenging the security industry and your agency.

The game features the “Wages of SiN” expansion, offering additional content for players. Modernized Steam master server support has been added, along with restored editing SDK capabilities. Players can now enjoy the game in 16:9 video resolutions, and various original game assets have been restored or uncensored.

General improvements include optimizations to math, container types, and search algorithms. The game has restored support for *.sin pack files and re-packed assets. Obsolete IPX networking support has been removed, and the original sound and music engine has been restored. The video format has been changed to open-source, patent-free OGV/Theora.

Several fixes have been implemented to enhance gameplay. A crash in the Docks cinematic has been fixed, and incorrect behavior in Thug AI has been addressed. The game now correctly reads and writes the configuration variable for the r_palettemode cvar in software mode. Memory corruption issues during multiplayer initialization have been resolved, and the cl_maxfps default has been changed to 200 to prevent the game from running too fast. Additionally, missing assets for the Beecadrone enemy have been restored.

⚙️ Installation Instructions
