📚 Lake Overview

Lake is set on September 1, 1986, and follows Meredith Weiss, a woman in her forties who returns to her hometown of Providence Oaks, Oregon. Leaving behind her career at a software company, Meredith takes over her father’s job as a mail carrier for two weeks. The game allows players to explore the town and interact with its residents, both familiar and new.

As Meredith, players can choose who to talk to and potentially form friendships or romantic relationships. The game offers a branching storyline where players can determine Meredith’s interactions and relationships without any right or wrong choices. At the end of her stay, Meredith must decide whether to return to her city job or remain in Providence Oaks.

Players can drive around the scenic lake in Meredith’s father’s mail truck or opt for auto-pilot.
