Echoes of the Plum Grove Deluxe Edition is a casual farming simulation PC game. The player arrives on the island of Honeywood after their ship is caught in a storm. They wake up on the island as the only survivor and are given the deed to a humble plot of land by the town mayor to pay weekly taxes.

The player must farm, fish, forage, cook, mine, and raise animals to survive. Winter is especially important, as the player must stock the cellar with enough food and medicine to get through the cold season. Crops grow in specific seasons, and different types of produce are available depending on the time of year. The player can buy tools from the local blacksmith, and tools come in different tiers that wear out at different speeds. Animals such as chickens and cows can be kept after building a barn or coop.

Building relationships with the villagers of Honeywood is a central part of the game. The player can talk to villagers, give gifts, and complete their personal requests to raise the relationship bar. Getting married and having children is also possible. When the original character ages and dies, the player continues as one of their children, carrying on the family legacy across multiple generations. Villagers also age, marry, have children, and pass away on their own.

The game has various settings that can be turned on or off, such as taxes, tool durability, item decay, diseases, energy, hunger, and aging speed.
