Dragon Ball FighterZ: Ultimate Edition is a 2D fighting game based on the Dragon Ball series. The story begins when a powerful army of clones appears and many famous fighters lose consciousness. Android 21 stands at the center of the mystery, and Goku joins his friends to stop the growing danger. During the campaign, you travel across several maps, rescue well known characters, and fight many enemy teams while uncovering the truth behind the strange events.

Battles use teams of three fighters instead of one character. You can switch between team members during a match, call partners for support attacks, and perform powerful combo moves. Every fighter has special attacks, energy blasts, aerial attacks, and ultimate moves based on abilities from the anime. Careful timing is important for blocking, dodging, countering, and extending attack chains. Victory depends on reducing the health of all three opposing fighters before your own team is defeated.

The Ultimate Edition includes the main game together with the FighterZ Pass, Anime Music Pack, and additional commentator voice pack. The FighterZ Pass unlocks many extra playable characters from the Dragon Ball series, allowing larger team combinations during battles.
