📚 Days Gone Overview

Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game. The player takes the role of Deacon St. John, a drifter and former outlaw biker who is trying to survive in a dangerous version of the Pacific Northwest. The story is personal and emotional, as Deacon is also searching for his wife Sarah, who he believes may still be alive.

The game is set in a large open area full of forests, mountains, rivers, and abandoned roads. Players ride a motorcycle called a Drifter Bike across this open map. The bike is very important in the game. Players need to manage fuel, repair the bike, and upgrade it over time using parts and credits collected during the game.

The main enemy type in Days Gone is called Freakers. These are humans and animals that have been infected by a virus and act like fast-moving, aggressive creatures. Large groups of Freakers are called Hordes. Fighting a Horde is one of the most intense parts of the game. Some Hordes can have hundreds of Freakers moving together. Players need to use weapons, explosives, fire, and good positioning to deal with them.

Combat in Days Gone uses guns, melee weapons, and stealth. Players can sneak past enemies or attack directly. Weapons can be collected from the environment or bought from camps. Deacon can also find or buy better gear as the game moves forward.

The PC version of Days Gone runs at higher frame rates and supports ultra-wide monitor resolution. It also includes improved graphics compared to the console version. The PC port includes full support for mouse and keyboard as well as controller input.

The game has a long main story supported by many side missions. These side missions help build the story and give more background about the game’s characters and locations.

⚙️ Installation Instructions
