CrossOver: Roll For Initiative is a unique action game set in an 80’s bedroom, where a strange energy causes pixel creatures to emerge from dark portals. Players must defend their character across various campaign stages. The game combines elements from Match 3 and Tower Defence genres with action, strategy, RPG, and puzzle mechanics. It features over 100 levels in both fantasy and sci-fi settings.

The game offers a variety of modes, including a local co-op mode where one player controls the dice and the other manages attacks. There is also an online lobby co-op mode with special scenarios featuring premade characters. The game includes procedurally generated endless modes for both solo and online play, challenging players to compete on online leaderboards.

Players can explore seven solo campaign books per module, each containing several stages. The game includes shops for buying armor and items, as well as RPG progression with XP, leveling up, and stat increases.
