Ayasa: Shadows of Silence is a dark puzzle-adventure game set in the Inverted World, a place once kept in balance by a powerful being called Tas, the Absolute. War has broken that balance, and darkness now spreads across the land. Players take on the role of Ayasa, who must travel across six symbolic lands to find the remnants of Tas’s light.

The six lands are named Faith, Hope, Love, Greed, Indifference, and Betrayal. Each one has been corrupted by darkness in its own way. Ayasa must face the dangers in every land and search for what remains of the light. The story explores themes of greed, betrayal, and indifference, but also love and hope.

The game tells its story without any spoken words or written dialogue. Instead, the story is shown using pantomime and visual symbols. The music is composed by Komitas, and it plays a strong role in how the story is felt. Surreal imagery helps paint a picture of a broken but haunting place.

Light and shadow are central to how the game is played. Players use light to open paths, activate old machines, and push back darkness. Puzzles require logic, timing, and creativity to solve. As Ayasa moves into the good lands, she unlocks new abilities that help with solving these puzzles.

The visual style draws inspiration from Tim Burton, René Laloux, Robert Sahakyants, and Hayao Miyazaki. These influences give the game a hauntingly beautiful look that stands apart from typical games. How players act during the game, whether with compassion or indifference, can lead to different endings, including one where Ayasa becomes the very force she was fighting against.

⚙️ Installation Instructions
