Gatekeeper: Deluxe Edition is a complete PC game package that gives players the full Gatekeeper experience along with extra content. The base game is an isometric action title where players go on a mission to recover the stolen Heart of Time from a powerful enemy called Chaos. The player must travel across five planets, fight large groups of machine enemies, and work towards reaching the Throne Room for a final confrontation.

Players can choose from several playable characters, and each one has a set of unique abilities and a different way to play. As players gain experience, they can upgrade their character’s skills to become stronger. A key part of the game is collecting over a hundred different artifacts. These artifacts can be combined into groups called Triads, which create powerful effects and keep every run feeling new. Four different mission types appear across the planets, and completing a mission calls a powerful enemy called a Siren into battle.

The game supports solo play as well as online co-op for up to four players. In co-op, teammates can revive each other and work together with their combined abilities. An Arena mode is also included, where players face non-stop waves of enemies in one area for a more intense challenge.

The Deluxe Edition also includes a Gatekeeper recolor tool that lets players change the look of their character, and a full original soundtrack of 25 atmospheric music tracks by composer Ilya Nasyrov in high-quality WAV format. The game also has a DLC called Gatekeeper: Crustad, which is part of this edition and introduces a new planet, new enemies, and new mission content to explore.
