📚 Godfall Ultimate Edition Overview

Godfall Ultimate Edition is a melee action-RPG set in Aperion, a fantasy world divided into Earth, Water, Air, and Fire Realms. The player takes on the role of the last surviving Valorian knight, a god-like warrior on a mission to stop Macros, a mad god who has taken control of Aperion and driven it to the edge of ruin. The game describes itself as the first-of-its-kind looter-slasher. It can be played solo or in online co-op with up to three players in PvE.

The core equipment in the game is the Valorplate, a legendary suit of armour that transforms the wearer into a powerful melee combatant. There are 12 unique Valorplates in the game, and each one has its own playstyle and appearance. Players can unlock 123 unique Valorplate skins by completing in-game challenges. The Exalted Update also introduced Valorplate Shards, which unlock brand new unique abilities tied to each specific Valorplate.

The five weapon classes in the game are longswords, polearms, warhammers, greatswords, and dual blades. Legendary weapons with devastating battlefield effects can be discovered while looting during missions. Players earn skill points to spend on a skill tree as they level up. The Exalted Update added 35 new ways to customise gear appearance, including 25 weapon cosmetics, 5 banner cosmetics, and 5 shield cosmetics.

The Ultimate Edition bundles the base game with the Fire and Darkness Expansion, the Ascended Cosmetic Pack, and the Pre-order Cosmetic Pack. The cosmetic packs include Chrome and Gold skins for the Silvermane, Phoenix, and Greyhawk Valorplates, the Zer0’s Sword longsword from another universe, Gold Shield and Gold Royal Banner skins, five Gold Weapon skins, and unique Valorplate skins for Vertigo and Typhon. A unique multiplayer lobby title is also included.

Three endgame PvE modes are available: Dreamstones, the Ascended Tower of Trials, and Lightbringer. The Exalted Update added a sixth mode called Spirit Realms, which supports six-player online co-op. New cutscenes were also added in the Exalted Update, expanding the story of Orin, Macros, and Aperion beyond what was present at the original launch.
