📚 Portal: Revolution Overview

Portal: Revolution is a fan-made mod for Portal 2 that takes place before the events of Portal 2 in the deteriorating Aperture facility. The game introduces over 40 new puzzles, utilizing new test mechanics and presenting existing ones in innovative ways not seen in Portal 2. Players will encounter the resurrected “Pneumatic Diversity Vent” element and a new laser cube variant, alongside over 15 puzzles that employ only the blue Portal-Gun.

The difficulty level of Portal: Revolution begins where Portal 2 leaves off. However, players need not worry, as all new mechanics and advanced portal techniques are taught within the game. The developers have conducted rigorous playtesting to ensure that every player can complete the puzzles. While a few chambers require portals to be fired mid-air, no puzzles demand complex or tricky movements.

Set between Portal and Portal 2, Portal: Revolution introduces a new storyline with fresh characters. Players assume the role of a test subject awakened by a personality sphere named Stirling. Together, they embark on a mission to locate a powerful device capable of restoring Aperture to its former state. This narrative adds depth to the gameplay, providing a unique backdrop for the puzzles.

Portal: Revolution uses a modified version of the Portal 2: Community Edition’s engine. This engine is a custom version of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Source Engine branch, utilizing licensed source code from Valve Software. This modification allowed the developers to introduce numerous mechanics and improvements, creating an experience that would be impossible in the original Portal 2.

⚙️ Installation Instructions

We have simple instructions for downloading and installing the Portal: Revolution torrent game on your Windows operating system. The procedure is the same for all Windows operating systems. Before proceeding, ensure that your system meets the minimum system requirements to play the Game.

You must have zip file extracting software and torrent software installed on your PC. If you do not have these two software programs installed on your PC, then you will first need to download and install the two software programs on your PC before following the steps.

You can use any zip file extracting software and torrent software, (We recommend "WinRAR" and "qBittorrent" Software). WinRAR / 7-Zip / µTorrent Classic / qBittorrent (64-bit) / qBittorrent (32-bit).

Follow the simple instructions:

1. First, click on the "Torrent Download" button, and Download the "Portal-Revolution.zip" file on your PC.
2. Right-click on the "Portal-Revolution.zip" file and click on the "extract here" option from the dropdown menu.
3. Double click on the "Portal-Revolution.torrent" file. Then, choose the download folder.
4. After Download Completed, Open the Game folder.
5. Double-click on the Setup.exe file.
6. You may need to provide administrator permissions for the installation to proceed. If asked, click Yes to continue.
7. Follow the on-screen installation wizard to install the game on your PC.

If you get any missing dll errors or the game is not launching, then Download Redist File and install all programs available in the "Redist" folder.

Done!. Now you can launch the game from your desktop.
