📚 Dragon Quest Builders 2 Overview

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a block-building RPG action-adventure game set in a fantasy land threatened by an evil cult called the Children of Hargon. This cult has outlawed all building, cooking, and creation. The cult captures builders across the land to stop them from creating anything. The player takes the role of a young apprentice builder who escapes from the clutches of this evil cult.

After escaping, the player washes up on the shores of the deserted Isle of Awakening. There they meet Malroth, a mysterious young companion with no memory of his past. Together, the player and Malroth travel to islands where the people need help rebuilding their destroyed lands. The story involves uncovering the secrets of Malroth’s past and defeating the Children of Hargon. Despite having the number 2 in its name, this is a completely standalone game that does not require playing the first title.

The player can dash, swim, and glide across open fields, villages, mines, and castles. Players can dive underwater to find hidden treasures and climb mountains. Farming is also part of the game, where players till soil, plant seeds, and raise crops like cabbages and sugar canes. On islands, players collect unique materials to build new structures and cook new items. Malroth fights alongside the player in combat with powerful attacks and skills.

The game supports online co-op for up to 4 players on the sandbox Isle of Awakening. The Steam version includes extra in-game content such as the Hotto Stuff Pack, Modernist Pack, Aquarium Pack, and several cosmetic items. A free Jumbo Demo is also available separately on Steam, and players can transfer their demo save data to the full game. Dragon Quest Builders 2 includes 31 achievements, Steam Trading Cards, and Steam Cloud support.
