Halls of Torment is a horde survival game with a retro look inspired by RPGs from the late 1990s. The visuals use pre-rendered graphics that give the game a classic old-school style. Players pick a hero and descend into underground stages filled with monsters. Runs last around 30 minutes, making it easy to play in short sessions.

The game has 11 playable characters, and each one supports a unique play style. Players can also unlock character marks to expand how a character performs. Magical tinctures can also be crafted to shift the odds in a player’s favor. There are 500 tasks to complete that drive long-term goals.

Six stages offer distinct underground environments to explore. For players who want a serious test, the Shrine of Torment offers a late-game challenge with no upper limit on difficulty. The game supports endless growth for those who want to keep pushing further into the abyss.
