Tomba! Special Edition is the upgraded version of the 1997 platforming game starring Tomba. Players leap, bite, and throw their way across 2.5D stages while chasing down a group of evil pigs. The game combines linear and nonlinear gameplay in a way that feels quite unlike most platformers from that era.

One of the biggest additions is the Save Anywhere feature. In the original game, players had to return to checkpoints to save progress. That restriction is now gone. There is also a Rewind option, which lets players go back a few seconds when they make a mistake during a tough section.

The controls have also been updated. Players can now toggle analog control support, which was not part of the original release. This small change makes movement feel more responsive on modern hardware and gives players a bit more flexibility in how they play.

A museum section is included with a large collection of historical content. This includes original print advertisements, packaging, game manuals, development documents that were never shown before, and high-resolution original artwork.
