Raid on Taihoku is a 2.5D narrative adventure game set in the city of Taihoku during Japanese colonial rule. Players must navigate the city while avoiding air raids by B-24 Liberators from the American Air Force. The game focuses on the struggles of humanity, as seen through the eyes of its characters. In safe zones, players can explore freely and collect mysterious items hidden within the city.

The game is set near the end of World War II, during a period when the USA Air Force engaged in island hopping to combat Japan. On May 31, 1945, hundreds of American B-24 Liberators raided Taipei, the island’s capital. This historical event forms the backdrop for the game’s narrative, where many residents perished, and survivors faced a devastated hometown.

Players take on the role of Sayako, the leading character who suffers from amnesia due to the raid. Sayako’s journey involves surviving in a city ravaged by fire and destruction. Her quest is not only to stay alive but also to recover her lost memories amidst the ruins. The game’s narrative unfolds as players guide her through various challenges.

In danger zones, the game emphasizes life-or-death cooperation between characters. Players must work together to escape various threats, including air raids. The interplay between safe and danger zones creates a dynamic experience, requiring strategic navigation and teamwork to overcome obstacles.

⚙️ Installation Instructions
