Magenta Horizon: Neverending Harvest is a 2D action platformer game. The player takes the role of Gretel, a reaper who was exiled for 200 years in a twisted purgatorial afterlife. A wandering soul named Archibald frees her from her sarcophagus, and Gretel then takes on the task of guiding Archibald back to the sanctuary she was once exiled from. The path is dangerous and full of horrific demons that want to consume souls.

The combat in Magenta Horizon: Neverending Harvest is inspired by spectacle fighter games. The player starts with a fully unlocked melee system from the very beginning, so there is no need to wait or unlock basic moves slowly. Players can perform stylistic and expressive combos using a wide variety of attack options. The game also uses a style point system where players aim to reach Triple S rank by killing enemies quickly and creatively.
