📚 Axiom of Maria Overview

Axiom of Maria is an action-adventure game set in a desolate Seoul, now a ghost town due to population decline and an epidemic. Players follow Kay, a former instructor of the 707 Special Missions Group, as she stands against the 15th AI Squadron (AISOC) to protect her family. The game features fast and intense action, with enemies primarily using guns while Kay wields a reactive sword that responds to enemy fire.

In Axiom of Maria, the city of Seoul is managed by AI, and the deceased are backed up into a virtual world called Beyond. Death is referred to as migration in this setting. A group known as the Irregulars aims to liberate the dead by destroying Beyond, while AISOC seeks to eliminate the Irregulars. Kay’s journey begins when she is detained by AISOC with her daughter after her husband is revealed to be an Irregular and disappears.

The gameplay involves controlling Kay as she navigates the city on her motorbike, which moves automatically. Players must guide Kay to approach and attack enemies or leap over elevated roads. The narrative unfolds as Kay is rescued by a group called “the School,” who help her and her daughter escape from AISOC’s clutches. This sets the stage for her confrontation with the 15th AI Squadron and her quest to protect her family.
