Withering Rooms is a challenging 2.5D horror RPG set in a procedurally generated Victorian mansion. Players explore Mostyn House, which changes its layout every night, to gather weapons, distractions, magical artifacts, keys, and crafting materials. The game features a large cast of monsters and bosses, including overgrown undead, invisible ghosts, devious witches, and axe-wielding madmen.

The mansion holds secret passageways, dusty attics with treasures, and the Byzantine Labyrinth beneath. Players can perform rituals to preserve items from night to night or permanently level up.
