This is a Ghost is a ghost-hunting psychological horror game where players use equipment to track paranormal activity. The game allows solo play or online co-op for up to four players. Players must identify the entity among 23.8 evidence types and determine its behavior, which can be vengeful, residual, or lost. Once identified, players can trap and banish the entity from a selection of 69 possibilities.

The game features 11 maps, each with varying atmospheres and sizes, providing a unique setting for ghost hunting. Players can choose from three difficulty levels and an optional challenge to test their skills. Entities in the game have unique abilities, such as the Demon, which can possess a player by attracting them or using their weapons. The Banshee immobilizes its victim with a scream before attacking, while the Siren sings to drain life and energy from nearby players.

Players have access to 16 tools for their investigation, including an EMF radar with a 50-meter range to track activity. Night vision and a paranormal filter help players see activity and special events. Additional tools like the L.S.S., motion sensor, and Bobby reveal nearby entities. Players can also use a shield, incense, pistol, shotgun, burning flash, and rune to aid in their mission.

Banishing the entity is only part of the contract, as players must strategically use their tools and knowledge to succeed. The game’s mechanics require players to adapt to the unique abilities of the entities they encounter, making each investigation a distinct challenge.
