CAPTURED 2 draws inspiration from analog and found footage horror movies such as Skinamarink. It also takes cues from liminal spaces and early 2000s supernatural horror. The game offers an eerie atmosphere and unsettling sound design, creating a tense environment for players to navigate.

The game presents horror through the lens of a nostalgic aesthetic, with realistic graphics and immersive camera movement. Players will experience the isolation and eerie feeling of being home alone in the late 90s. This setting adds depth to the storyline as Emily tries to piece together her past while avoiding the dangers lurking in the hallway.
