📚 1348 Ex Voto Overview

1348 Ex Voto is a cinematic third-person action-adventure PC game set in 14th-century Italy. The player controls Aeta, a young female knight errant voiced by Alby Baldwin. Aeta sets off on a difficult quest across Italy to find and save her closest one, Bianca, voiced by Jennifer English.

The game is set during a troubled period in Italian history, where banditry, mercenaries, and religious zealots are widespread. Pestilence spreads across the countryside and cities, and political conflict creates an unstable land.

The combat in 1348 Ex Voto is inspired by Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA). The fighting animations were performed by trained Performance Capture actors. The player can switch between two combat stances: one-handed and two-handed. Skill books can be found during the game to unlock new combat combinations.

The game takes the player to different locations across a 14th-century-inspired Italy, including medieval villages, castles, the grassy Appennino mountains, and ruins from ancient Rome. The player can also search the surroundings to find trinkets and treasures to collect.
